Firm Overview
Our firm began as a solution to a problem. On March 23, 2010, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law. At that time, Mr. Burri owned an insurance agency that was the third largest provider of health insurance to the Catholic Church in the United States. His company was flooded with clients’ questions on the Affordable Care Act that no one could answer.
In response, Mr. Burri applied to law school in order to serve his clients, focusing his studies on employee benefits and federal taxation. He furthered his studies at Georgetown University Law Center and John Marshall Law School, two of the leading LL.M. programs in taxation and employee benefits, studying the Affordable Care Act during the time it was being implemented and clarified.
Mr. Burri has been a business owner for over 30 years; a former registered securities principal and supervisor; and an insurance agent and principal licensed in all 50 states and the US Virgin Islands. Such experience has proven invaluable to our clients who look for not only an attorney who knows the law, but a counselor who knows the best ways for employers to implement the law.
